The Negative-Crisis on Earths One-Two!

Justice League of America #56

In a Nutshell

In this second part of the annual JLA/JSA crossover, our heroes come up with a plan to overpower the extra-dimensional aliens who are ravaging their worlds. That doesn’t work so Johnny Thunder tells them jokes instead.

Roll Call

To combat the alien invaders, the JSA’s Robin has the idea of harnessing the same black sphere radiation that is powering up their human hosts.

Unfortunately, the four test subjects, Green Lantern, the Flash, Hourman and the JSA’s Wonder Woman, also fall under the radiation’s evil influence and turn on their teammates.

Although the affected heroes manage to leave clues for their comrades that would help them to defeat the aliens, they don’t actually get a chance to use them.

On his mission with Wonder Woman, Johnny Thunder discovers the aliens have a weakness to laughter. By barraging them with corny jokes, Johnny manages to defeat the invaders single-handedly.

So no one from the JLA or JSA aside from Johnny Thunder earns any contribution credit this issue.
