Justice League of America #25 February 1964 In a Nutshell Kraad the Conqueror is bored. He has discovered that teleporting a trio of alien scientists to random planets is hilarious, and the fact that those planets later blow up as a result of his pranks only adds to the fun. Fully half the Justice League disagree. Roll Call We appear to be entering a new era here, as this is the first issue where only a small subset of the League shows up for the mission. In this case, it is Superman , Wonder Woman , the Flash , Green Lantern and the Atom who are attending the regular JLA meeting. Batman and Aquaman are said to send their regrets, while Green Arrow , the Martian Manhunter and Snapper Carr get the “and the rest” treatment. The five participating members all contribute to Kraad’s capture, even when handicapped by an untimely swap of body parts. Decoy Missions of the Justice League!

Justice League of America #24 December 1963 In a Nutshell Gardner Fox has read an article on Aural Photography, and Kanjar Ro is cashing in. As part of an elaborate revenge scheme, the alien despot has separated the Earth from its aura and moved the real planet to Arcturus. To fix the problem, the League all punch him at once. Roll Call This is a confusing and contradictory story, but the gist of it is that Kanjar Ro has moved Earth into the orbit of Arcturus, and replaced it with a duplicate. He’s also duplicated the Atom , the Flash , Green Lantern , Wonder Woman and Aquaman to lure the real heroes away from Earth while he performs the switch. So the first half of the story is just a distraction, and the only real contributions come from the capture of Kanjar Ro. Penciler Mike Sekowsky makes it clear that everyone chipped in on this part, with the exception of Snapper Carr, who is absent from the story entirely, and Aquaman, who is conspicuously absent from this panel.
