Crisis Between Earth-One and Earth-Two!

Justice League of America #46

August 1966

In a Nutshell

Earth-One and Earth-Two are merging, causing their citizenry to randomly pop over across the dimensions. As the JLA and JSA deal with a pair of immediate threats, the Spectre works to deal with the real problem.

This is another JLA/JSA crossover two-parter, so we can expect the contribution rate to be minimal in this chapter.

Roll Call

  • Green Lantern, the Flash, Hawkman, Black Canary and Doctor Mid-Nite rush to subdue a rampaging Solomon Grundy on Earth-One. Most of the team is ineffective, but Hawkman manages to deliver a knockout punch.
  • In the dimensional rift between the Earths, the Spectre encounters a powerful alien from an Anti-Matter universe. While trying to prevent the alien from entering either of our heroes’ dimensions, the Spectre discovers the two Earths are on a collision course. The Spectre wedges himself between the worlds to delay the catastrophe.
  • On Earth-Two, Doctor Fate, Sandman, Wildcat and Batman battle Blockbuster. As is usually the case, only Batman can defeat the creature by revealing himself as Bruce Wayne.

The Scorecard

Only Batman and Hawkman get contribution credit this month, which means Batman has finally risen above the Atom, Green Arrow and Snapper Carr.
